Well according to the specs i see online:
The Toshiba's i7 processor would be better than the Lenovo's i5 processor.
The Toshiba has the better 3 Usb connections (One 2.0 & two 3.0), the Lenovo has 3 Usb connections as well but there are (One 3.0 & two 2.0).
Both has Vga, Hdmi, Sd card reader connections.
Both has Dvd drives.
The Toshiba comes with Windows 8 and the Lenovo has Windows 8.1, however the Toshiba should be able to update to 8.1
Both have the same amount of ram.
Both have 15 inch screens.

While they are almost similar, in my opinion, the Toshiba wins.

Toshiba one seems to have a better CPU and graphics, but the specs on the ones at the shop may differ. What price is the shop selling at? Don't let them rush you to make a decision. It often ends badly.

Well if hard drive space is not a problem, then Toshiba.
However, if you often have need for Cds/Dvds then you should consider the Lenovo. The i5 processor is an excellent processor as well.
You can always go with the Toshiba and purchase a portable Cd/Dvd drive. That way you can connect it to your laptop when it is needed.
