help need to audio out from hdtv to computer

hi there,
I need help with respect to audio out from my lg-22MA33 hdtv. I'm trying to get sound from hdtv on my desktop computer, please tell me how can I get sound on my pc from hdtv built in speakers? When I connect my hdtv to set top box (external tv tuner) it gets sound from hdtv but when i run the pc, hdtv does not audio out sound.

for more info. I don't have external gpu installed, therefore I'm using integrated graphics hd radeon 3000

When you connect your set top box you use HDMI correct? When you connect your PC you use the VGA correct?
If so since your TV does not have an audio input for the VGA input you don't get sound. You can add an HDMI input selector to expand your HDMI inputs and use HDMI for the PC which carries audio and video. You could convert the VGA to composite video and use that input which does have audio inputs but the quality of the picture will probably be unacceptable.
