So i recently purchased the "Turtle Beach Ear Force Star Wars Gaming Headset for PC and Mobile Devices (TBS-4035-01)" on amazon. It has a removable mic, and two wires to hook it up; a pink one and a green one. I plug the pink one (the mic) into the microphone slot (next to the headphones one) on my pc, and the green one into the headphones.
The headphones work well, but the mic isn't recognized by my computer. When i go to my sound devices and click on the recording tab, it says no recording devices are connected.

Solution
Sounds like the issue lies not with the headset, but with the sound card on your computer. Try uninstalling and re-installing the drivers for your sound card (I'm assuming you're using on-board audio). If that doesn't work, try using the front panel. If the problem still isn't resolved, you'll need to use another sound card. You can look into a USB sound card, an internal sound card, or an external solution.
