I am getting ready for a trip overseas in about a month and was looking at a gaming controller for my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for playing Retroarch to keep myself occupied. Of the features needed (6 axis, 2 sets shoulder buttons/triggers, mounting bracket), these are the choices I am looking at:

IPEGA Wireless Bluetooth Game Controller Classic

POWER A MOGA Pro Mobile Gaming System

Mad Catz C.T.R.L.R Mobile Gamepad

http://www.amazon.com/Phonejoy-Bluetooth-Controller-Android-iCade-Package/dp/B00J5AEKQ6/
Phonejoy Bluetooth Game Controller for Android and iCade

Cost is definitely an issue as well, especially if a $30 will do the job just as well as a $90 one.

Another factor for each controller is how much work will be needed to get the controller to work in Retroarch and if rooting is required or not (or having to buy an app as well).

I'd like to hear what kind of experience you've had with them.

I ended up deciding which one to get after talking to the guys in the Retroarch forums for compatibility. They said the iPega will work fine, and they also mentioned that it's compatible with MOGA. They did however suggest a slightly different model than I was looking at:

iPega Wireless Bluetooth Telescopic Game Controller

I will let you know how it works out when it comes in. Thank you for the feedback!
