So I have a Sony DSLR and I bought one of those clip on microphones to use for filming (link to it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004YEWC22?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 ) but it has an audio jack which my camera doesnt have. My camera does have two HDMI ports though so would a HDMI to audio jack converter thingy work? (like this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/3-5mm-Audio-Jack-Female-Adapter/dp/B00H557CNG/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1423069900&sr=8-3&keywords=audio+jack+to+hdmi )
The HDMI ports are thin and theres on small and one larger one on the side of the camera. Is there anything that will work? I really need an external microphone for videos but am not sure what to get as this camera like i said doesnt have one of those ports.
Any advice? Thank you.

The HMDI's are only in's, they do not support a microphone.

Usually only high-end cameras have a 3,5mm jack as an input for a microphone
I use a D3300 and it has one.
