So i bought this lovely gaming laptop for $640 on amazon (still on sale, $650 used $750 new)

15.6 inches
1920x1080
2.5 GHz AMD Richland A10-5750M
8 GB DDR3
1024 GB SATA
AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2000 MB

I have heard a lot of good things with this laptop, that card is fantastic, but i heard the CPU can be a bottle neck. How do i prevent this? Can the CPU be locked at the boost 3.2ghz for long periods safely?

Is this considered an ARM CPU and not a x64? I cant see it being too much of a bottle neck since cpu boss only gives this a slight edge over the FX6100 i use right now with a R9 270

Solution
its x64, no you don't want to even think about overclocking. and yes, the cpu will probably be a bit of an issue in cpu demanding titles.

you might run into problem with FFXIV, that is a cpu heavy title. or not... it depends how heavy it is on hardware.

well right now i run it on a FX6100 and an R9 270 and i get about 30-50 fps depending on the zone on 1080p/high settings.

Is there a reason not to lock it on the turbo boost speed? i have seen a lot of people doing it
