I have put a dvd in my computer but it does nothing what do i do?

Solution
Hi there!

If the movie doesn't pop up once you close the DVD drive check this location first before anything else.
Start Menu>Computer>Devices with removable storage.
If you can't find your movie there, it is the disk drive!

If this helps please select best answer to help others!

Thanks and have a wonderful day!

or media player classic :)

If you happen to have Windows 8, It does NOT have DVD playback out of the box and this this kind of 3rd party software is needed.

Systems bought from the store tend to come with some third party dvd playback software already.

It used to not have nearly as much built in codec support as VLC, but VLC does not even seem de-interlace DVD's by default(not that its hard to enable).

I think I still use VLC more, but MPC for DVD(well on systems without PowerDVD that I have mostly for bluray playback)
