if you've got $50 more / an OS to hand you can have that for $1200 and it's better than anything else you'll find on the market for the price point.

I personally would wait as the performance should be worth it. But this will depend on the games you play and at the settings. The only problem with getting a laptop is the lifespan. They generally don't last long as desktops do but this will depend on the mis laptop. Also I have never actually used a msi laptop but have heard about them.
