Toshiba satellite L305D-S5890 laptop failed to boot or show anything on display. I've tried external monitor, removing battery and power and holding power switch before returning to AC only (nothing) and repeat attempts at booting does not do anything. No success. It appears the HD never spools up, I have power and battery/AC lights on but that's it. No light on disk. Please help. Thanks. PHeat

Solution
Try removing 1 stick of RAM and a time and see if that changes anything when you try to boot. Try each stick in each slot.
Try removing the hard drive and booting.
It is a bit of work but try disconnecting the keyboard and see if it boots (look for a service manual for your laptop model for steps)
It is likely a graphics issue as Vembutech says but I like to try everything before I give up.
