Hello. I just bought an LG 65UB9200 4K TV and hooked it up to my Yamaha rx-v375 amp with external speakers. I'm running my cable box, Apple TV, and XBox into my amp via HDMI. I then run my amp into my TV's HDMI ARC input. I can use my amp to switch between my cable box, Apple TV, and Xbox and I can see the video on the TV and hear the audio through the amp's speakers, but I cannot figure out how to hear the audio through my TV's speakers in addition to the amp's speakers. In the audio settings for my tv, the "Sound Out" settings is set to TV Speaker, but no sound is coming out of them. When I connect my TV directly to my cable box, THEN I get sound coming out of my TV speakers, but obviously I don't have any sound coming through my amp speakers. All my HDMI cables are ARC compatible.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks so much.

Mine does that..but I want the amps speakers to play, in 5.1, amd would like to keep the tv speakers more at the same time. My Pioneer Elite has killer speakers down both side...that have been on mute since I got it. I want to try hearing BOTH of the same time....possible...what do I need if so? Thanks

1. Open Sound panel
2. Select Speakers as the default playback device
3. Go to the "Recording" tab
4. Right click and enable "Show Disabled Devices"
5. A recording device called "Wave Out Mix", "Mono Mix" or "Stereo Mix" (this was my case) should appear
6. Right click on the new device and click "Enable"
7. Right click on the new device and click "Set as Default Device"
8. Double click on the new device to open the Properties window
9. Go to the "Listen" tab
10. Click on the "Listen to this device" checkbox
11. Select your HDMI device from the "Playback through this device" list
And you're done

Was there mention of a computer?
I think you'll find that running the TV speakers at the same time as the HTS will not add anything. More likely to screw up your surround sound balance. If your HTS speakers are not better than the TV internal speakers then you really need new front speakers.
If you have a source that has HDMI and digital audio out you can connect the HDMI to the TV and the digital audio to the receiver. That will give you both the TV speakers and HTS at the same time.
