How do you know it's not a keyboard problem? Keys not working usually indicates some sort of keyboard problem.

I have a dell inspirion 15 3520.
some keys not working.
such as the "5", "6", "-", "="
and some function keys.
I got new keyboard, still same keys not working with the new keyboard.
connected external wireless keyboard, and all is working.
What is the issue and resolution?
Please help.
