I am looking to purchase a new windows laptop and was wondering what suggestions people had.

Info:
1. What is your budget?
About $1,500-2,000 (preferably closer to $1,500)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
17"+

1920x1080 or higher

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Some portability but mid-high end specs of a desktop replacement

5. How much battery life do you need?
At least 2 hours

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games.
Would like freedom to play most games at mid-high settings

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
On computer majority of the day, don't need to do any truly intensive work but would want something that can stay ahead of the average computer for next 3-4 years

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
500GB+ (SSD preferred, not necessity)

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Best option I have found for the price is the Lenovo Y70-70 Touch - 80DU000HUS
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y70-touch/

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
3-4 years.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Optical drive not a necessity, if it has one then would want blu-ray.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Have owned customized HP and Alienware, refuse to buy anything Dell so would not buy Alienware due to overall disappointment with past purchases, open to most brands

13. What country do you live in?
US.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Aluminum build would be preferred but also not a necessity, would like if the laptop were to be customizable or at the least be semi-user friendly for repairs or upgrades
