Need help deciding on speakers or soundcard?

So, i have Logitech Z506 and I'm in discussion of new speakers (Creative T6300) or a sound card?
My second thing is, if speakers, do i go 5.1? as when watching TV on my computer (Sky go, Netflix or youtube) i hardly notice 5.1, but in my movies and some games, 5.1 serves me well, with some adjustments.
would you guys recommend speakers or soundcard? and if so, could you suggest some that you think would fit great with my description.

What is you budget? Why do you need another speaker, I assume you want better sound? And to help us understand you better, how does the Z506 connected, what is it connected to, how does it sound to you, and how do you want it sounded?

reason? Well, i want something nice, new, reading about both i know there the same really, if possible better audio? yes! and also i have a second room that needs setting up, so killing two birds with one stone. better sound in a way.
connection: 5.1 AUX connection 3 3.5mm cables into my rear case 8CH support i guess you could imagine.
it sounds muffled at the rear speakers, like its simulating 5.1, also

This shows on my sound properties.
How i want it: i want it to sound perfect, so i could sit down, movie on and its clear nice pristine sound. no muffle noise, now i know that wont 100% be fixed by the same speakers, or a cheap soundcard-But im not also looking for something expensive i mean, anything over 100 pounds (GBP) is too much for my current room, its too small.

For a £100, you"ll get a better quality sounding stereo speakers than 5.1 system. Is your priority sound quality or 5.1, You want something that sound better then check something like the M-Audio AV-40 http
