I've seen so many different answers, basically I only play PC games and wanna know if the mixamp is required for 7.1 surround or if I could use the onboard of my MSI Z87-G45 motherboard to achieve the same thing?

I've got the A50 which is basically the wireless version of the A40. Best headset I've owned so far. As Lman8786 said super comfy. I played for 13 hours Sunday...wore them the entire time. I've never owned a headset I could stand to have on my head for more than 3 hours before the A50

The Astros are the comfiest headphones I've ever used in my life, the sound quality is great and the mic is decent (not the best ever) I would recommend it for the comfy factor.
