The number of laptops out there is dizzying and I'm not up enough on components to make an informed choice.
Here are my needs:
I primarily need a light laptop for daily use (office, metro apps, some photoshop). Weight is an issue.
I would like the option to game. Minimum would be WOW on max settings. Dream would be Diablo III on max. I can make anything in-between work.
HDD is really not that important. I would never have more than about 15-20GB of files on it (plus OS and programs). I can eat up a good bit of RAM.
Screen size 13-15ish. Needs at least 1920x1080 resolution.
Price - $800 or below. I can go to $1000, but it would have to be a damn impressive machine.
Machine would need to last 3 years or so. I don't care much about it being able to handle future games. I have a backlog that stretches into the 90s.
My last laptop was a Macbook air. I worked great except for the gaming and price. I would like something along those lines in terms of weight.
