so, i originally had this problem. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2489154/bricked-mobo.html#1513156, wound p bircking my mobo while trying to figure out, why my screen was all funky. Now power doesnt even make it to the mobo. its not the gfx card, screens carries over to a second monitor. And it isnt the Fn screen change either. Tried that as well. I dont think it is the lcd itself, but i do think it is the wire that runs form the mobo to the back of the lcd

Replaced mobo, i can now reach bios on an external monitor. Replaced the lcd cable, external monitor works, but lcd still not working. It was working before, is there anything on an lcd i should know about in particular, that i may have overlooked? that is all that is left. I dont want to replace it if i dont have to, but i know that is the only device left.

no backlight, and nothing underneath the screen, even when looking very close.

you blew a fuse look for a f29 or f1 fuse they can be small the f1 is usally green some times white the f29 is usually small and black and will be lockated on the board where the lcd cable connects test for continuity and make sure your using sharp meter probs if no continuity bridge across the fuse with solder

ok, Ill check that out. wait, on the new motherboard? or are you talking about the wires in the lcd cable?

I originally had my screen split into 3 horizontal segments, while i was restoring the bios on the old mobo, i got up and it unplugged and screwed that mobo ( i dont have anyone, or any knowedge of reprogramming/flashing a single bios chip). I just bought a new one, the computer goes to bios on an external. There should be no issues with the new mobo.
