Hello guys ,
i need to understand the Switchable graphics Cards Technology bec. really i am confused. 2 days ago i bought Dell Inspiron 15 5547 with i7 2.0 ghz , 8GB RAM , AMD Radeon r7 m 265 but i couldnt make sure that the graphics card(Radeon) is working bec. i tried runing Pes13 and it couldnt run bec. it was saying unable in front of R7 M265 card with vram 28 mb which 2 gb already.
i tried runing autodesk programes and it worked but i cant say that the Dedicated graphic card is working.

any explanation , help would be great . also i want a suggestion of laptop with same specs but without switchable graphics.
Help as fast as possible i need to buy a laptop as soon as possible.
Thank you

Solution
ON the contrary, I like switchable graphics so long as some of the time the laptop will be used plugged in.
For graphics related tasks or games, dedicated is much better than integrated.

On the other hand if you will always be using the laptop on battery, then buy one with integrated only.

The key to laptop performance is using a SSD instead of a hard drive.

In device manager, you should see two graphics adapters, the intel integrated adapter and the amd dedicated chip.

The selection of the faster dedicated chip is probably controlled by your power profile settings.
In plugged in, you want to select performance.
On battery, it will probably be the more power efficient integrated adapter.

My laptop used nvidia as the dedicated chip.
I can select which to use on the nvidia control panel 3d settings tab.
There should be a similar option for amd.
