I want to be able to play my steam games without a network connection. Is there any way to do that?

P.S. I have a xbox controller that I will be using if this is even possible so don't say it would be bad with tough controls.

I don't own a Nvidiashield but teamviewer is often very laggy and only works properly with non-game programs.

Even if a wizard himself would make a steam game working it is highly likely to be extremely laggy and not worth it in the end.

Do you know if anyone has ever done it?

Darn :( I really wanted to play steam games on my phone :p
How does the nvidia shield allow you to play some steam games? Is it working like teamviewer?

If you're experienced at programming, you may be able to run a very slow version of steamOS. As for the xbox controller, bluetooth connection between many devices (xbox controllers, wii remotes, ps3 controllers, etc) were blocked in an android 4.4.3 patch. I have tried to do something similar with my note 3, and those were some problems I had faced. If you're looking for a portable controller-based PC gaming experince, I recommend the nvidia shield portable. If you don't want to pay the extra money for for that, you can always get a rooted ROM and overclock the device (at your own risk). Also, I think there's a way to get windows 95 on an android device.

I actually just got a shield. Is there any way to splay my steam games offline but still sync progress with steam?
