Hello,

I would like some help regarding some very strange problems I'm having with my laptop. Yesterday, I decided to leave my laptop on to drain the battery since the laptop wasn't reading the battery time accurately. Today, I turned on my laptop and the screen was black. Black, as in everything else seems to be working fine; 1. The Windows sound can be heard 2. The screen brightness can be adjusted 3. Even the keyboard buttons are fine. I've actually had this same exact problem one month ago, and after rebooting the laptop 10 times, the display finally showed up and indicated some hard drive problem/crash (I can't remember specifically the stated issue).

I've already tried:
1. Testing the memory sticks/slots.
2. Tested without battery, but only with AC.
3. I just ran check disk through the command prompt.
4. Here is the weird part: I hooked up the laptop to my 2nd monitor, which successfully displayed the screen and asked to enter safe mode or normal mode. When entering normal mode, the 2nd monitor is displaying everything perfectly, but only for 15 seconds before showing "No Signal." When entering safe mode, the laptop boots to the main screen without trouble.

Can anyone chime in and suggest anything useful that I am missing? I frustrated that I can't tell if this is a laptop display issue or another component.
