Hello,
Every time i install the nVidia Graphics Driver, I am unable to run any of my games or the game crashes when launched. It says that the GPU may not meet hardware requirements or the GPU is not responding. However, when i uninstall the GPU driver, I can run any of my games, but only on low settings. What can I do to resolve this issue? My graphics card is an NVIDIA GTX 860m and I am running a ROG laptop, though I forgot what laptop specifically. I can still run games, but only on low resolutions (Ex. can't play SIMS 3 on high res anymore.) Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Hydeout!

I also own a ROG laptop with 860M but I haven't experienced this, the driver selected the right card for every game except for The Witcher. You could try right clicking on the icon of the game, select "run with graphics processor" -> "high performance NVIDIA processor". Also check that your Windows' Power Scheme is on High Performance because it can cause problems too. Please let us know if that worked.

Telling you from experience, DO NOT allow the laptop to choose what GPU to use. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS choose it to use the NVIDIA card. NVIDIA optimus is a bust most of the time. Install new drivers, select the NVIDIA GPU and game on!

Apparently, the laptop works well now. I disabled the NVIDIA graphics card for around 2 weeks, and enabled it again. It works perfectly now, though I do not know why. Regardless, thank you all for your answers. Very much appreciated.
