I bought a Universal PC/Stereo Gaming Headset - Yapster TM-YB100A – Black a while ago and it worked fine until yesterday, when I installed a new one terabyte hard drive. I cloned all the files from my old hard drive to my new one. however, today, when I called my friend on skype, he could not hear my voice, but he heard all my computer sounds. I went under control panel -->Hardware and sound-->Manage audio devices. It said that the speaker was working, but when I talked into my mic, the green bar didn't fluctuate. however, it does fluctuate when I tap the wire connecting the microphone to the headset, making me think the microphone itself might be broken. Does it sound to you like the microphone itself is damaged, or is there something I could possibly configure?
