Need help choosing a gaming headset (with links)

Solution
The Sennheiser is one of the best pair of headset I've used, although I personally prefer the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 as I like its sound signature more.

The Astro is nice, it has a lot of sweet little functions and works really well with consoles, the audio is only so so to me when it comes to that price though.

HyperX Cloud is not that great compare to the other 2 you listed though, audio quality is normally its strongest advantage over other gaming headsets, not when the headsets its comparing to worth like 3 times of itself though, I'll say its better than the Astro when you're not plugging the Astro in the mixamp, the Astro sound like crap without a mixamp or a good sound card. The Cloud could match up to a lot of headphones below...

Does it have to be a headset?

If so then the corsair vengeance series is actually pretty alright for the price. More so if you get it on sale which happens quite frequently. Grabbed a pair of 1500s for around 60 bucks, best 60 bucks I've spent.

Now I've moved on to dt990s but I still think the 1500s are worth the price even at full price. Assuming it has to be a headset of course.

Edit: Ah it seems the price went down, when I picked them up the msrp was 100 bucks so when I was referring to full price, I meant 100 bucks, now it seems to be going for 70 dollars on newegg.

Is wireless capability a must for you? Because there are definitely a lot of better headset audio quality wise considering the price you are willing to pay. None of the headset you listed are particularly famous for their audio quality, even the HyperX Cloud (and HyperX has announced a Cloud 2 with 7.1 Virtual surround coming this or next month) cost much much lesser while sounds better than those you listed.

No it doesnt have to be wireless. I was also thinking of shoving a little more money and getting the astro a40 with a mixamp
