I have a Samsung 46" H7000, an egreat m34a media player and the following computer :

Intel 4670k||Asus maximus vi hero||Evga gtx 770 sc /w acx cooler||XFX 750W||SSD Samsung 256GB Pro

Also a 1TB external hard drive and this very fast usb flash, but only 16GB.

Last, i have a Dell u2312hm Pc Monitor, which has a DisplayPort ( i think version 1.1a ), but not Hdmi. :(

Since i bought my new tv ( 2 months ago ), i watch only 1080p hi quality movies, 2D or 3D.

Egreat cant play 3D, and Tv sometimes it shows me an error after 10 minutes of playback ( This happened in only 2 movies so far [ Egreat played them without problem ] ). The error it showed is "container format NONE is not supported". I cant find any similar problem in whole google..( am i the only? ??? ) But anyway this isnt the point of this thread i guess..

Here we come.. Last days i watch ( or to say better, "try" to watch ) 3D movies and mostly untouched 3D ISOs. But i can't ;D

Tv and Egreat can't play ISO, so my only option is to connect pc monitor with tv. But i need a DisplayPort to Hdmi Cable, that i dont have. But i dont know if it worth buying, cause for viewing full 3D a DisplayPort 1.2 version needed. My Pc monitor has 1.1a as i stated before. But i am not 100% sure..

I did a test with my Sony Vaio laptop. I connected the laptop with tv via hdmi and i played the 3D Iso in the laptop with powerdvd. I couldn't see 3D on my tv. Or at least not the right 3D. Maybe a convert from 2D to 3D. I guess it's not possible cause the lack of hdmi ( I guess Caio has hdmi 1.3 ) and that it doesn't have a 3D capable graphic card.

Also I don't see any split screen (over-under or SBS ) so I can switch the proper 3D mode on tv too. But I guess this happens cause it's an ISO and the feature to press 3D in the movie menu and automatically changing on tv too, can happen only with a bluray reader and also with this mede8er media player?

But I am curious what 3D mode they use in ISO.

I want to know if I had a pc monitor that had the appropriate 3D output, would it be possible to watch a 3D ISO or not? It's a crucial question cause the answer will determine whether or not I need a media player or home theater.

Last option is to connect the tv with the computer tower direct. Will it work? But I don't know if I am able to view in "movie" mode or only in "normal" and "entertain" , as I read in the TV guide.

I need a good answer cause I'm really confused about this 3D ISO thing and how it really works. And most important, what's the best device to play it.

~~~ I found the m2ts file of the movie and I converted it in 3D over-under mkv with dvdfab. I watched it in tv and I said omg the best 3D I've ever seen. Then I discovered that the real 3D file was the ssif file and not the m2ts. How much better could the 3D be!! I'm very excited. And how could be possible to see some off-screen 3D effects with this m2ts conversion? ⁉️
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my English.
Yes I did. I rent them as a matter of fact. Maybe this is the problem?
There is a protection in the disc and I need only bluray to play? I have only bluray player in pc, but not 3D monitor as I said in my previous post.
