I just finished building my computer and the only thing that is not working for me it the audio. I bought the Logitech Z313 speakers at Target and it may be because I did the connections wrong. I kind of did it logically, so I did male-male cable from computer line out to the monitor and the small speakers (They have one cable) to the monitor also. What is wrong?

Well there is a subwoofer two. The subwoofer has one output, and the speakers have no output but they are connected to the control pod which is originated from the Subwoofer. It is said to connect the subwoofer to the computer and the speakers to the subwoofer but there is only one plug on the subwoofer.

But that is what I am confused by. I'm sorry, maybe it's very simple, but for some reason Audio has been a big problem for me my whole life. The part that I don't understand is that you say to connect both computer and small speakers to the woofer, but the woofer only has one jack hole. I know the audio works because I connected headphones to the headphone jack in the front of my PC and it worked, and I'm guessing I don't connect the speakers to the front of the PC, because I have been connecting it to the back.

Well, there is a headphone jack on the controller/Control Pod thing, but I was expecting that was supposed to let you plug in headphones into the system.

Well what I did now was plug the subwoofer to the PC, and then plug the speakers into the headphone jack on the control pod. But the thing is that the jack for the speakers is coming out of the control pod, making sort of a circle back to the pod. God, I'm confused. Thanks for helping me out by the way.

Ok I've researched some more. There is a speaker output jack on the subwoofer, plug the speakers into that. Then connect the subwoofer to the computer.

And apparently the jack on the controller is for headphones.

Okay that is the part that I don't understand. When you say plug the speakers into the subwoofer, and then connect the subwoofer to the computer. If I plug the speakers into the subwoofer then the only plug on the woofer is taken up and I can't connect the subwoofer to the computer.

No. No. No fucking way. There was another cable the entire time, it was just lost in the barrage of other cables. I can't be this dumb. I'm really sorry for wasting your time, I was not very organized when building my computer and installing everything else and I guess the last jack got lost. Thank you very much for your help (You are the most helpful person I have ever come across), and staying with me on my journey to find out how to find a missing cable...
