Need help choosing gaming laptop

Sorry, it's been a long day.

Personally, I would go with the Blade... it's not the best performance / dollar (Unless you're buying the smallest version and upgrading the SSD yourself), but having something so svelte and powerful that it can make macbook pro users drool is... enticing. My favorite quote from a review on the Blade goes something like this: "At first you look at the Razor Blade and think, 'Haha, Razor made a Macbook.' Then it hits you: 'Oh snap, Razor made a Macbook.'"

That being said, bit of advice... do not, repeat do not just buy a laptop with a large screen resolution. That's the thing that turns me off the most about the blade, and even more-so about the Gs60 3k...

A huge screen like that is going to do NOTHING but eat up battery power, and the graphics cards aren't able to come close to the performance levels needed to actually make use of that nice screen while gaming. Add in the fact that you're paying a HELLISH premium for a high resolution screen... well...

Now think about the fact that it's on a laptop. That means that when your computer starts to falter and not play games smoothly (which it will, because we're talking mobile parts here), you have to replace the whole damn thing - you can't keep that bloody expensive screen that you paid through the nose for.

The Fangbook Edge 1080p is a good laptop, but for $1760, I'd rather bump it up slightly and get the looks and construction of the Blade. The GS 60 Ghost 3k should be thrown out immediately - it's using a GTX 870m, not a 970m. (The difference is small, but hey, it does make a difference.)

Look for an ultrabook with a good quality 1080p screen... there's just no point in spending money on a panel that modern mobile tech simply can't run games on without seriously cutting FPS, settings, and / or resolution.

As for particular recommendations, the Gigabyte P35W v3, Falcon TLX (incredible, but pricey), and Asus G751JY or JT are great options for their price.
