Hello, Community! Every time I run a Full Scan (Avast Antivirus) the results show a lot of files that begin with C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\ that could not be scanned because: Error: Archive is password protected.(42056)

Is this something I should be concerned about? The rest of the scan comes back clean and I'm not currently having any issues. BTW, this is my personal computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit and nothing is password protected (at least not intentionally). Input is greatly appreciated! :)

I agree with this, however for future issues you should use this method.

1. Open start, search cmd, run as admin (right click > run as admin)

2. Type this into the console rd /s c:\$recycle.bin Type y when asked for confirmation

3. Restart pc.

NOTE: This "basically" deletes your recycle bin directory, when you restart your PC you will get a new one.
