Thank you for responding to my question. My vcr is a Toshiba..model # SD-V392SU...The comcast digital adapter model # is DC60Xu and the TV is a Dynex..model # DX-L26-10A and the RF modulator is a GE all in one kit (audio and video) model # 73452.

I push the record button and it says it is recording and the tape does rewind so i can only assume that it is taping. The audio and video jacks are plugged from the vcr to the tv. I also have the set of rca Jacks that came with my RF modulator plugged into the RF modulator and then plugged into the vcr. Thanks again!

I have a digital flatscreen tv and a digital comcast adapter. I have a RF modulator hooked to the back of my comcast adapter box which is hooked into the back of my vcr. When i tape a program it records but no audio or video playback. How can i get this to work?

Are you sure it is actually recording successfully? If so and the problem is just with playback, you'll need to connect a separate cable from the VCR direct to TV if possible.

The VCR probably has analog audio and composite video outputs (yellow, red and white RCA type jacks). If your TV has matching inputs, just use those to connect the two together.

If you still have problems, it would help to know the make and model of all devices.

The Comcast box should be able to connect to your VCR with a single RF cable (no RF modulator needed. The box will output on channel 3 or 4 so you have to set the VCR to record only this channel. The VCR will only record the channel that the box is set on and can't change that channel. If you preset the box to the channel you want to record you can set the VCR to record at the correct time but it must record channel 3 or 4. You can connect the box to your TV via HDMI for direct viewing in HD.

I guess most of us don't know what you were referring to when you said "comcast adapter" -- do you have a link to a description?

The Pace DC60Xu he mentions does not have RCAs, only modulated (3/4) coax or HDMI.
