How do I connect a set bluetooth wireless headphones to my samsung smart tv ?

I have a Samsung Smart TV and I want to connect a set of Bluetooth wireless headphones to it without muting the tv speakers. The Samsung manual states this cannot be done but I am wondering if it can be done with a Bluetooth adapter?
I wonder if anyone has experience of this problem if so I would be grateful for their advice.

Ive not tried to get "Bluetooth" on my Samsung LED TV but what I have done is use wireless headphones and a sender unit ..the latter plugs in to the headphone socket OR the audio sockets ....The headphones also act as a wireless radio if that's what you want to hear while walking round the house or garden,

I would imagine it is the same wat as I connect my wireless headphones. Connect the transmitter into the headphone jack on the back of your set and switch on your headphones. You might have to restart your tv to get the handshake between the tv and transmitter .

I would love to know that myself, just got the TV hooked up and I'm nor too happy that the tech sais I would have to buy a special set of headphones. Would this work? AGPtek - Wireless Bluetooth A2DP 3.5mm Stereo HiFi Audio Dongle Adapter Receiver

Having bought a DAC Digital to Analog Converter 4 years ago and still going strong i recommend this as it works with my samsung 8000 series tv. You may have to buy an optical cable coming from tv to DAC box

You need to check whether your TV has inbuilt bluetooth feature then proceed further. If yes then turn the feature on and map your bluetooth headphone. Else you need to get a bluetooth connector for your TV to proceed further. Once you map your bluetooth headset using inbuilt bluetooth or connector, just turn tv speakers off and increase the volume of your headphone.

I own a 55" 4k Samsung smart tv. I hooked up my bluetooth jambox. Works great but tv audio stops. Hope that helps.
