Hello, i have an issue with my Asus X550LN-XO062D. It wont boot into windows, instead it either shows a black screen or some random colored blocks. In either case it shuts down after appox. 10 seconds. Also, the bios doesnt seem to recognise the hard drive anymore. The issue occured when i attempted to restart my laptop in order to switch from windows 10 to windows 7. I have managed to get it running and booted a couple of times, but had no luck afterwards... Could it be just a loose connection or is my hard drive dying (after only 3 months of usage)?

Solution
Yeah usually opening the product will void the warranty, so take advantage from it and use it, let them fix the issue.

EDIT: just saw the picture, no doubt more than one cable is getting loose, usually that problem means a dead GPU but since you got it booting later it must be the cable that goes to the monitor getting loose as well. Make sure to show them that picture so they realize the magnitude of your problem.

Could be a loose connection with your sata cable that goes to the HDD, what sounds weird however is that "random colored blocks"... could be something worse going on, in any case first thing to do is to open the laptop to verify your HDD cable connection, if still under warranty better take it to tech support.
