Newer nvidia driver causes laptop to run hot whereas older one keeps it cool? GT 750m SLI

I have two GT 750m in SLI.

Alright I was unsure where to put this as there wasn't a dedicated nvidia software section or if there was I must be blind and could a mod put it into the right section. Basically the graphics driver that came with my laptop (Lenovo Y510p) was 331.58 and this works fine and the laptop stays cool when it is idle or I'm just doing simple tasks such as web browsing for instance as well as not turning on the SLI when it is not needed. Now, I like the game Euro Truck Simulator 2 and the only real reason I wanted to update my graphics drivers was because of that game and the fact that it doesn't work well with SLI (when you turn the camera everything shudders and goes weird), when I did infact update my graphics drivers to the latest version (which at time of this post is 347.09 released on 23 December) the laptop seems to get really hot when idle and runs the other GPU and reaches temperatures of around 70-80 degrees even when no game is playing and when the second GPU is clearly not needed) yet despite this, due to the updated SLI profile for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (which was a couple versions back from the newest driver version, I can't remember what version) the game runs a lot better and I'm getting high FPS with the cost that the laptop would go hot randomly when left idle or when using it for web browsing. Without this new driver however and just by using 331.58 the laptop is cooler around 40-49 degrees when idle or just using it casually for web browsing. The second GPU also isn't running until needed either! I've tried to use the exact driver that was for the updated SLI profile for ETS2 as well and that caused the same problem. I'm actually wondering what is going on and would love if someone could help me. THank you

Thank you very much for your reply! I will try that, I'm actually using the older driver right now by going into device manager and selecting the GT 750m and using the rollback feature, it gave me the 331.58 driver and that's the one that hasn't been causing me any issues with overheating, it's only the newer drivers that cause this problem. The overclocking must be coming from the i7 4700MQ cpu and turbo boost but really I'm struggling to see why the second GPU would be running when idle. Thank you again for your reply and help, I'll be sure to try them out
