Connecting my Samsung HW-H550 sound bar, Samsung PN50C450 TV, Samsung HW-D7000 Blu-ray receiver, and AT&T uverse cable box. I can't get the sound to work. Can you help?

Solution
The Samsung DVD/ AV receiver is meant to work with passive speakers so will probably not send audio out on the HDMI output. If you just want to use it as a disc player you would need and adapter like this one:

that would convert the front L-R speaker level output to a line level input that you can connect to the soundbar. You would connect all your sources with HDMI to the TV (including the DVD-receiver) and use theoptical out of the TV for all the other sources. Set the DVD receiver to stereo mode.

How is your soundbar connected to the TV? Is it via an optical cable? Did you change your settings within your TV to turn off the set's sound? Are you trying to run them all through the set or do you have an A/V receiver in there somewhere?

If you've got multiple inputs on the A/V receiver, use that and then push it all out across the HDMI out to the TV. Then, run the optical out from the set to the soundbar and you should be good. Adjust the settings on your set just to make sure.
