You need to have the audio output settings on your PS3 set to whatever your headset's audio interface is, I'm guessing S/PDIF? And what kind of headset is it?

Yeah, I believe what kind of headset you have is just a generic chat-microphone designed for voice-communication only, not game 'and' voice audio - like a Bluetooth for example, except wired of course. I used to have one as well. Unfortunately, you will have to listen to game audio out of your TV or speakers.

I looked the name of what you have on Google and it looked to me like it was just a generic chat headset. In those types of headsets, unfortunately you can only hear voice audio and the game audio you must continue to still listen through TV or speakers. I used to have one when I played PS3, I then upgraded to a Bluetooth, and later on the USB Wireless Stereo Surround Sound Headset by Sony and I loved it, great $100 investment (possibly cheaper now). It provides very good game and voice audio, it's just not cross-platform supported which is the biggest downside however. Right now I am using Astro A40 2013 Edition's with a Samson C01U Studio Condenser Microphone which I upgraded from the Integrated Microphone on the headset itself. It supports all consoles so that's a major plus for it, as well as spectacular audio, comfort and durability.
