Acer E1-431 upgrade questions

Hi tomshardware,

I have a Acer Aspire E1-431 laptop and I am wanting to upgrade the cpu. I couldn't find information on whether I could upgrade the cpu on this particular laptop. The the only information I found out so far is that the laptop uses an Intel Pentium G950 on Socket G2 / Socket rPGA988B. What cpu would be recomended if an upgrade was possible? Where can I buy that cpu?

CPU and GPU in most cases are soldered to the mobo with an exception on some super high end laptop GPUs as uthvag says, the max you can do is add storage or ram. The best option if you're willing to spend money on an upgrade is just sell your old laptop and buy a new one as this unfortunately is the only way for laptops.
