So, I've been looking for some good gaming headsets after the ear crushing SB I had. So, it doesn't matter whether it's wireless or wired, wireless is preferred though. If there's anything better than what I've listed for $100, tell me it. I'm still wondering what the difference between Vengeance and Corsair headsets are. Oh, and the headset must have some form of 7.1 audio.

1. Logitech G430 (I believe this is new)
2. Vengeance 2100
3. Corsair Gaming 2100 (The $100 one, not the $160)

And as another thing, I don't really need noise cancellation, but I'll take it if it's there.

Solution
I would prefer the Corsair H2100/2100 for the biggest reason - wireless ,another reason is that this has better build construction compared to the Raw Prism

The Logitech G430 has been out for about a year, so i guess its new, I would go with the Corsairs, either one is good . Also check out the Steelseries Siberia headsets (Steelseries Siberia V3 or V3 Prism if you can find it on sale)

If your wondering why i wouldnt go with the Logitech its because of - first off, I owned this headset before. The wire has the fabric material thing around it so when you move a little bit it rubs against your shirt and you can hear the noise in the speakers pretty loudly. Lastly they are not very durable, they are made out of cheap plastic. The Corsairs are made out of a better plastic.

Your better option is to get some good headphones and a modmic, the 7.1 thing is not real its just emulated, but if you think it helps you, its fine.
If you think you want to switch to headphones and modmic, have a look at the Audio Technicas and Sonys. And for a modmic, the AntLion 4.0 is best.

Get an idea of how the modmic works - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVFKbVPTdG8

Hope this helps!

I don't exactly have the space for a mic+headphone combo, so headsets are my only option. I'm thinking of either going with the Corsair H2100 or the Steelseries V3. What's the difference between the Steelseries V3 and the Steelseries V3 Prism? That's pretty much what I'm at right now. And between the two, which one would you choose?

The difference between the V3 and V3 Prism is that the V3 Prism has lights, powered by USB, and only compatible on PC,MAC, and Playstation. The V3 uses 3.5 mm jack and dual 3.5 mm jack adapter, it can be used on any device that has a 3.5 mm jack port on it, so basically your computer, phone, and if you get a 3.5 mm jack to USB adapter, on Playstation.

I would go with the Steelseries Siberia V3 because you can use it on more devices than the Corsair.

So what your saying is that the 2 are about the same, but the Siberia has more compatibility and i should go with it. Why does the usb one have lights and the other one doesn't that's better? And is the Siberia V3 have some sort of 7.1 audio?

First question - i didnt really understand what you meant
second question - no, but better sound is always better (in my opinion), like i said before, whichever you prefer.
third question - the Siberia Raw Prism uses USB, has lights, has lower frequency response (less treble), and different pads. Sort of like the V3 Prism.

My first question wasn't really worded correctly, ignore it. So, what you're saying is 7.1 illusions is completely BS and isn't that good, compared to just better sound. So, out of the Siberia Raw Prism (Looks better than the V3 in my opinion, even though it's cheaper), the Siberia V3, and the Corsair Gaming 2100, what has the best sound? I know the specs on the Raw Prism are slightly worse than the V3, but is it really worth it the price? Whats the best sound for the price? I like the Raw Prism very unnoticeable but working mic. I'm leaning towards the Raw Prism or the Corsair. And are there any USB to those little wires? I would like that so I could use this on my phone...

I wouldnt say "BS", its just that some people prefer it and some dont, i like better sound, also a lot of people say the sound quality is not very good in gaming headsets. The Corsair and the Siberia Raw Prism will not work on your phone, i dont know why but there are 3.5 mm to USB but no USB to 3.5 mm. I dont think the specs on the Raw Prism will not make much of a difference to the Siberia V3.

To sum this up, if you would like to use a headset with your phone, the Steelseries Siberia V3 is the one, if your ok with just PC, the Corsair H2100 and Siberia Raw Prism are the ones.

Thanks, I think there isn't a usb to 3.5mm because the usb has a sound card, and turning it into 3.5mm would mean 2 sound cards, and we don't have the technology for some reason to handle this situation yet. I would choose you as the answer, but I'm on my phone, have to wait before going in a computer to choose. The thing is, I need a good sound card for 3.5mm, and I'm just using a Z97 motherboard sound card. The usb have an in built one, sadly can't use on a phone. To be honest, Don't use headphones on my phone much unless traveling. Between a Siberia raw and corsair 2100, what would be preferred?

I wonder why Bluetooth isn't a thing that works for headsets. I'm not sure I really need wireless, bring right next to my computer, but lessens the wires. If the amount of good sound in the corsair is much better than the raw prism, I will go with the corsair 2100. What has better sound?

Ps: are wireless headsets very heavy? I don't want 10 pounds on my head

Ahh! There are so many types of headsets! True 5.1, virtual 7.1, virtual and true surround! What is a good headset with the headphone/Mic Jack? I'm not sure if the corsair 1500 is like that, and if it is, is it the same as the 2100, except not wireless? People say these headsets are good, these other ones are better, I'm confused. What's better, true 5.1 our simulated 7.1? And what other headsets other than steelseries is good? There's lots of brands...

To answer your first post "true" 5.1 is not exactly possible because its very hard to notice which side the sound is coming from in the small space of your headset, it will just sound mixed up. The Corsair H1500 is the exact same thing as the H2100 but its wired, just so you know, any headset that says the 7.1 or 5.1 thing will always use USB. I think simulated would be better because of what i said just before. For other headsets that are good are the

Kingston HyperX Cloud
Creative Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage USB (the wireless one is very heavy, this one is probably lighter because of battery)

Those are two good options too.

For your second post, you dont have to use a discrete sound card with 3.5mm jacks, you can just use the motherboards audio, discrete is preferred for its better sound quality.
