Intel UNDI, PXE-2.0 (build 083)
Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation
For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.0.2.2(03/31/10
<I'm guessing this^^ has nothing to do with the problem >
Check cable connection!
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key
Please help I have no idea how to work computers so please speak English!!!

Solution
No bootable device means that there is no usable hard drive. In all likelihood, the hard drive has gone bad in the laptop. The other option is that it disconnected, and if you are feeling ambitious, you can take the laptop apart, find the hard drive, and ensure the connections to it are tight.

A laptop of this vintage will not pay to put serious money into it.

My laptop is saying the same thing, apart from it says 'Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key' could this also suggest my hard drive could be broken?
