Is it possible to stream from Samsung Galaxy III, Sam Gal tab 3 and/or old 2005 computer to old tv's circa 1990?

I am finally attempting to come into the 21st century. From doing just a couple of days reasearch, trying to learn what type of device(s) I needed to stream to a non smartv or HDTV, I found streaming players, sticks, etc. Thinking I needed to purchase a smartv first, I have learned that I may be able to use what I have...until I familiarize myself more to current media streaming possibilities.
I just stumbled onto an article that was about using a cell phone or tab to stream to old tv's. I have seen sticks, and Chrome objects for under 30.00...is it really possible for me to use them with what I have?

Most of the current generation media streaming devices are HDMI only.

If your TV has a composite video input, you can use an HDMI to composite converter to use the latest streaming devices, but these converters are not exactly cheap. Unfortunately, you'll have to pay a price to use digital services on analog equipment.
