I have a Samsung UN65H6350AFXZA, a Sony HT BDVIT1000ES and a Logitech Harmony 900 remote. The Samsung TV replaced a 7 year old Sony 52". I had everything connected to the Sony HT, but am wondering whether to connect the HT to the ARC HDMI of the Samsung TV and use that remote instead of the Logitech.

You can only use ARC if both the TV and HTiB have it. Did not see it mentioned in specs of your Sony. If so it needs to be turned on. I would continue to use the Logitech since the CEC functions do not always work as they should especially with different brands.
Thanks americanautiophile. No, the Sony does not appear to have ARC HDMI - it's not on the spec sheet, nor is one of the HDMI ports marked as ARC as it is on the Samsung TV. So based on your response, if I do connect the HTiB to the ARC HDMI on the Samsung TV it won't take advantage of the ARC technology since both devices must support ARC.
