So I purchased the EXP graphics card V7.0 from banggood.com. I installed everything properly on my Lenovo S410p , the mini-express slot , the power , etc. The external slot gives of a green light so it works , or so I though. My laptop can't seem to detect the external GPU , even though I have the wireless - lan port enabled in the bios. Could my graphics card be broken ? Is there something wrong with my laptop's settings , did I install it correctly?

I hope someone can help me ,waited like ages for this thing to get here :(

Thank you..:)

The model is a HD 5450 1 GB videocard from radeon. The external pci express - at least for passively cooled cards just requires a adapter to be hooked up to. If you are using graphics cards with more power requirements , there are 6pin and 8pin cables included in the shipping , but since this gpu doesn't require extra power I didn't use a PSU to hook up the v7.0

My apologies I should've included this info at the first post.

Anyway the regular adapter I use is a : random brand , 100-240v , output of 19v and I see now that it doesn't even have wattage shown here. Anyway , the EXP does light up , with it even when I unplug the power outlet but have the other end still connected to it , which is weird , also the graphics card does get hot.

A link with the product .

I hope this will be sufficient .

I am assuming you are talking about the module , I find this hard to believe since there are videos on YT where low power consumption cards such as mine perform just fine without hooking up a PSU.

I don,t think thats the issue. Thanks though
