New laptop, what to do?

I've recently got a new y50 from lenovo. How do i keep t virus free and where do i find trustworthy temp and stress monitor? Without the link beig virus free?

personally i just use free anti virus stuff like AVG. you can use hardware monitor or open hardware monitor to monitor temps and such.
