I have an asus zenbook ux31a. Yesterday the battery was drained, so I plugged the charger in, but the power light (orange or green) didn't appear! And the laptop didn't charge. after fifteen minutes my dad plugged it in again and it worked! The orange light appeared and it charged. Its from the same outlet. Though suddenly the light turned off (when the battery was close to 100%) and it wouldn't charge again! The morning after we tried again and it worked! Though now it won't work again. I don't think it's something with the wire, since when it worked I played with the cord closest to the plug and it continued working, nothing was wrong with it. It's just deciding not to charge sometimes and I don't understand why, is it the charger or the laptop? What should I do? Btw my laptop is closed due to the drained battery, so I can't solve the problem from there :/

Solution
Will need to figure out if the issue is the battery not wanting to charge, or the power adapter not connecting somewhere.

I would take the battery out, plug the notebook in, and see if the notebook will run or not. If it will not run on AC power with the battery out, the issue most likely is the power adapter, and it will need to be replaced. There are 3rd party models available. The other issue could be the connection to the power input of the notebook as that pin can get bent.
