Today I tried turning on my laptop and when I pressed the power button I could hear the fans spinning up and the computer power up, but after a minute the display had not turned on. So I went to a help site and saw a suggestion to connect to an external monitor and the screen showed but when I unplugged the hdmi cord the display stayed off. Could anyone help me figure out how to fix this problem?
By the way it is a Dell Inspiron.
