Hello,

I exchanged a Asus notebook (N751JK) for another one of the same model, but the display of the first one was designated on the label box as "IPS FHD " and the second one as "FHD WV ".

On Asus website there is 3 displays indicated for this pc :
17.3" FHD EWV (1920x1080) / Full HD (1920x1080) / IPS FHD (1920x1080)

Is there a difference between "EWV" which is used on TN panels and the displays designated as "FHD WV". So, "FHD WV", is it a IPS display or not?
If it is, why the hell did they changed "IPS FHD" to "FHD WV"...

Thanks
Bye

Chances are if the panel does not say IPS, it isn't IPS. The FHD WV or EVW are just selling words. It just means (enhanced) wide viewing angles. If a screen doesn't state it, its probably a TN panel.
