I have a small Acer Aspire and I lost my charger. I ordered an AC Adapter on amazon and I plugged it in but it won't charge it. The adapter works fine but my laptop isn't charging. The volts on my adapter; output 19v, input 100-240v. Laptop volts; 19v. Can you help me???

Uplink is right - we need more information to figure this out. In short, the adapter that you purchased is not powerful enough to run the laptop and charge it at the same time. Additionally, it could not be strong enough to even keep the computer on and is probably slowly draining the battery until eventually it will die.

In my opinion and experience, using an OEM (genuine) laptop charger is fairly important. Unless you do the research and find a high quality replacement. You got to be careful because these cheap chinese replacements have been known to burn down peoples homes, businesses and schools. They get so hot that they melt and light on fire, or worse, explode. Sounds cool, but its really not :)

Return that cheap fake adapter...

Return that cheap fake adapter and spend some money on OEM, or research a quality one.

With the laptop information, we can look up the exact voltage and amps that you need and find a suitable replacement.
