Replacement keyboards are pretty cheap, you can get this one on amazon for 15 bucks.

You can also go buy a cheap USB keyboard for 10-20 bucks if you aren't comfortable taking the laptop apart to replace it.

If you press them down harder than normal do they work? Make sure nothing is stuck under them, even something like a small crumb can prevent the key from making contact and activating the respective key. You can pop a key out with a knife or something and then snap it back into place to verify nothing is stuck underneath
