Hi guys I've decided to give the idea of a audiophile level headset with a modmic idea a go but I really don't know what headset to buy for it .
I have a budget of about $200 maybe $250 Australian for the headset it's self.
I'm really just after the best quality headsets I can get at that price range.
Thank you for your help

"Gaming" headsets are usually designed around a quality microphone in addition to the speakers. Do you just want headphones, or an actual headset?

My advice for headsets is to actually check out some gaming models. Look at Corsair's headsets, and stay the hell away from Logitech's, which I've never had a good experience with and currently have a set held together with duct tape.

I'm after a headset that's not made for gaming e.g no mic.
But that has outstanding sound quality. Something that people use for movies or music editing.
I was looking at buying the razer tianmat but it has terrible bass or the new asus strix 7.1 headset but all the comments say that your better off getting an audiophile quality headset and attaching a modmic?
