Hi uksparky, I'm sorry for not getting back last night.
Here is how to change that setting: (I'm guessing that the menu is the same as your version, but it probably at least has a similar name)

Press the menu button on the remote control
2. Then scroll-over to "System options"
3. Select "Input terminal setting"
4. Select "Input skip"
5. Change from "yes" to "no" for each HDMI port or any others that you do not want the tv to skip.
This should fix your problem.

Oh, that is a setting in the tv menu. I have a Sharp 52 incher with Aquos too.. It is one of the menu's...labled "Input Select" or "Input label". This setting tells the tv to look for signals on a port or not...which makes it scroll through the different signal inputs quicker when one or more are turned-off.
You need to turn it on for that HDMI port. If you get to that menu, you can turn them all on if you want (usually about 4 of them).

If you can't find the setting and post so on here, I'll look on my TV later when I'm home, and post how and where.
