I've used chrome for years, and comodo firewall and HIPS protection for some months, but suddenly google chrome started crashing as soon as it was loaded.
I tried to reset my user profile and reinstall the program, but nothing changed, and loading it in Comodo sandbox didn't lead to any results.
I noticed that in temporary mode, chrome crashed only after some seconds.
Today I installed Comodo Dragon (which should be a modified version of google chrome), and it worked perfectly. So I tried to run google chrome in comodo sandbox, and it actually started, but I saw the message "aw, snap" for every page I tried to load. I clicked on "More info" and saw that comodo firewall is known to enter in conflict with chrome. So I temporarly disabled it, but chrome kept crashing.
Now chrome doesn't start anymore even in comodo sandbox.
What can I do?

Solution
I've been using Comodo Internet Security together with Google Chrome for six years with no such crashing or refusing to start problems, so there cannot be a conflict between them.

Try removing Chrome, then re-install it.

PS: Chrome crashing can be caused by too many add-ons so first try your new Chrome install with just the default add-ons to see if it runs okay. If it does, resist the temptation to add any more than just a couple, and re-test Chrome after doing so.

I only have two extensions added to Chrome (AdBlock & Tab Activate) and it never crashes.

Googles Flash player pepper flash is what Is causing the crashes.. I had it happen on three different OS Linux, Unix and Windows.. In Windows or OSX you can fix it by disabling Pepper flash and use the latest Flash plug for your Flash player, But on Linux your kinda stuck as there is no new Flash player download for Linux so your stuck with Pepper Flash, But you can use it's shell in Firefox and it works Just fine with a wrapper but it takes a little forum reading and copy and pasting commands in Linux terminal... So I guess that would be My Question to Google Chrome would be--- Why does the player work just fine being ripped and used in Firefox on Linux but those same files wont function right on Chromes Own Browser???

Hello there,

Thank you for using TomsGuide. We're glad to help you with your PC issue. We understand your Google Chrome crashes on Windows PC.

I would like you to find out problematic add-ons, browser modules and components and disable them to check whether it solves the issue. If it doesn't, you may oput out of Sandbox feature to get rid of frequent crashes. Follow the steps published in this article until your problem is completely fixed.

I hope this helps.

Thanks and Regards

Thanks Phillip for the mention of extensions. In my case the culprit turned out to be Trusteer Rapport. I do a lot of corporate online banking and the bank pushed that thru. Now deactivated and everything is back to normal.
