Asus Laptop won't charge. How do I know which one is broken?

The laptop model is Asus K4JC. It worked fine yesterday but now when I plugged the charger it's not working. The laptop gets its power on the battery but it only has like 10%

> I tried removing the battery and charging it, not working.
> Tried that BIOS thing where you disable USB charging but I don't see such option in my laptop's BIOS setting
>Uninstalled and reinstalled the battery driver still not working.

The charger has a light on its own and it does light up when plugged in an outlet but again, it's not charging my laptop. I assume it's the charger that's faulty? Any other suggestions is greatly appreciated.

start simple...look at the ac brink and cables if there bent or twisted to heck they might be broken inside. have someone with a volt meter read the output see if it within spec or see if someone has the same brick and see if there work. on the laptop check the power pin...if it lose or broken the laptop wont power on or it may have shorted the laptop out.
as other spoken most batteries have a set number of charges before they fail from age. the charger is built into the mb as long as the ac brick voltage is at the right output the charger should work unless the battery goes bad or the battery sensor chip in the battery fails.

I read that laptops will work even without the battery right? as long as you plug a charger on it. That's what I do whenever I'm home. I tried it again but there's no orange charging light.
