Hi All!

I happen to have an Asus X450L Laptop running an i5 4200u at 1.6Ghz with
4GB of ram and Windows 8 Pre-installed

Now I decided to buy an SSD, Samsung Evo 840 to be Exact...240 GB.
For the past months Windows 8 has been a huge #*#* in the head really. Updates always fail even though my Internet is fast usually at 10-30 ms. I want to downgrade to Windows 7

My question is will my laptop lag now that i Would run Windows 7 since it was built for Windows 8?

Thanks alot guys

No, there will no discernible performance difference between the two operating systems. Downgrades can sometimes be tricky though so I'll suggest looking in the Asus forums for a guide (or one from Asus itself) just to ensure there are no "tricks" to be aware of

Hey there, ZeroInfinity!

I'd recommend to contact your laptop manufacturer's tech support even, just in case it is actually possible.
But as C12Friedman suggested I'd check the support tab on their website first.
Even if they don't the drivers for Windows 7 on their website, you can still contact their support line.
They might as well be able to assist you further.

Good luck! :)
