HALF OF ASUS TOUCHSCREEN DOESN'T WORK! Help!

When I open my laptop from sleep, half of the touchscreen doesn't work. About 30 minutes-1 hour later, the other half starts working. If I reboot, it starts working, but putting it to sleep again will cause half of the touchscreen to not work again. How can I fix it to work after I open it from sleep.

On the third review from the top of the Newegg page here, there is another user who has experienced the same issue as you. I would take their advice and get an exchange for your laptop. All you have to do is contact Asus through their customer service center and request a replacement unit from them.

I know it sucks having to send it out but you'll thank yourself for doing it as the short two week wait is better than living on with the problem (and others popping up) for possibly a year or more (if you use the touchscreen very often at least).

What model is your laptop? It sounds like a firmware problem with the digitizer on the screen. It's common for stuff like this to happen on smartphones. Maybe try asking Asus support to see if this issue is documented or if they have released a fix?
